MINUTES FROM THE APRIL DISTRICT MEETING

          Our monthly meeting was held on Saturday April 2nd at 5 at Steve Hilbrink's house.  Thanks to you and Sheryl for having us.  There were 21 members present.

Chris called the meeting to order with a moment of silence for the fallen brothers and sisters.  Cheri read the minutes with one correction, the clean up for the bike show needs to be done by noon on Sunday.

Financial report was given by Steve.  The district is sitting very well.  Insurance has been received for the bike show & poker run.  We are ready for the show.  State report was given by Chris.  Tom's ad will be running for one year at the current size.  Glad to know that has been straightened out.  The purple heart tag has passed the house, handle bars might not make it through.  May is motorcycle awareness month.  There was discussion about each district purchasing signs for this.  There are sign up sheets for work weekends and security at Perry.

Historian report was given by Jess.  Any old pictures she would like to have.  Also if you could include names, dates, and events on these she would really appreciate it.  Keep track of your incentive sheets.

Committee reports- Mitch gave the Bike show.  There will be a few vendors there so stop by & check them out.  96.9 & 101.9 will be doing live feeds form the bike show for 2 hours.  There were sponsors for this so make sure you thank them if you see them.  Cheri motioned that we give the money for an associate sponsorship for the bike show, Jessica 2nd.  Rusty opposed.  Passed. Everything seems to be in order so make sure you do your part to make this a successful show.  Peoples Choice is being sponsored by the Phillipsburg Chamber of Commerce and Phillipsburg Jewelers.

Poker Run- The Review will once again be doing the posters.  T-shirt pre-orders must be turned in by the May meeting.  All written letters to the board for the 2nd  annual Sandy Archer Award need to be turned in by the May meeting also. 

The May meeting was discussed being this is Dedication at  the Motorcycle Museum in Marquette.  Steve H motioned that we do a group ride on May 7th to Thunder Valley Motorcycle Rally, Rusty 2nd-Passed.  We will be leaving from Osborne Timesaver at 10 A.M. Cheri motioned to move the May meeting to the 14th at Bear's house, Yvonne 2nd- Passed.  Steve & Sheryl H. opposed.  Passed.

District 2 is concerned about the way the Newsletter is being handled.  Things are not getting in at all, wrong dates, wrong times, and wrong places.  Not sure what the problem is, but we are trying to stay on top of it.
